Central to the platform is a role-based access system that allows accountants, clients, tax consultants, and their suppliers to work together to produce a capital allowances claim in a secure and controlled environment.
The application code is written in Ruby on Rails. Ruby on Rails is a web application framework that has been used to develop many familiar platforms such as Airbnb, Groupon and Slideshare as well web infrastructure applications including Github, Heroku and Zendesk. The application is hosted on a London-based Linode VPS running Linux, Nginx and MySql. Assets are stored on Amazon S3.
